Did not customize anything. Just painted an Epic monster encounter for my DnD group. For the scales I followed the scales recipe at Monuments web site, the belly I used a little heavier yellow on the chitin tutorial. Painted teeth and gums with the formula page also. I like these bigger monster figures because it gives me a lot of room to work with on the details. I mostly practiced layering, a little glazing on the teeth.
