Built for hobbyists
Baselair is a place to showcase your painted miniature projects, discover new inspiration, and connect with fellow hobbyists.
It started as a side project in early 2024, born out of my own frustration with sharing the hobby on platforms that clearly weren't made for it. Posts on Facebook and Instagram got buried within a day, and with no real search or filtering I couldn't explore beyond whatever the algorithm decided to show me. Subreddit communities and Discord servers were a bit better, but still suffered from similar issues.
I wanted a focused space built specifically for our hobby — not another algorithm-choked social feed. I wanted a place where I could find inspiration by color schemes, painting styles, and techniques used, and share my own work that might inspire others. I searched, but I couldn't find the experience I was looking for on any other platform.
So I built it myself.
Baselair is a platform made specifically for the miniature painting community. Its a place where you can share your work and discover the work of others. It's self-funded and still evolving — but it's built with care, and with the hobby in mind every step of the way.
Thanks for being here and sharing the things you've painted. Both the hobby and this community are better because you're in it, and I'm grateful for every project, every bit of feedback, and every moment of inspiration you bring.
Baselair is made by hobbyists, for hobbyists — and it'll stay that way.
