Mortal Shell is all about skin. Most models only give you a face to work with, tucked between a helmet and a collar. This month, go bigger: arms, shoulders, chest, legs. Skin is one of the hardest surfaces to get right on a mini because it’s never one color. It runs warmer where blood sits close to the surface, cooler in the recesses, and it shifts across every muscle and fold. A face lets you get away with a couple of highlights. A bare back doesn’t. For this month’s challenge, paint a model with more skin than armor. Barbarians, pit fighters, ogres, monks, mermaids, whatever’s in your pile. Any skin tone, human or otherwise. Any genre, scale, system, or style.
