This is Traveler Corine. She's a healer/buff character and brings life to her fellow advocates. I tried to convey her as a wise and well studied alchemist/herbalist with clerical magic. The model is sculpted by Sean Sutter and is white metal and was a single part cast.
I always enjoy the freedom to express myself with texturing on these models and Corine was no different. I enjoyed carving years of experience into her features with a brush and the way she was sculpted definitely aided that expression.
The basing involved first covering the slotta base areas with thin pieces of plastic that I cut from a clam shell. I covered this with mud texture paste followed by some rocks that I painted up with my cool greys. I hit the ground with differing cool browns then layered in Ultra Fine Snow texture paste. I enjoyed the control it afforded. After that I hit it with some leaf litter that I found out to be birch seeds. They work so convincingly as leaves in this scale imo. I gently coated these leaves with bits of ultra fine snow and then added some thicker snow texture paste to areas where I'd expect snow to build up.
The basing took me about an hour but it serves me as a template for my lone guard faction I'm planning on painting by Adepticon next year. Im looking forward to honing in working with snow textures in new ways in the future but this was a fun experiment for a muddy cold environment.
