Finally, after a long stretch I have finished Gehrman, leader of my Mordheim Warband.
I wanted to go for a more sinister look with this one, choosing muted colours over too vibrant ones. I wanted him too look more dangeours than noble.
I think I started the miniature like 5 times, always struggling with the NMM, but finally I reached a point where I was happy with the result. Also the crest on the medaillon took a couple of tries, but I am more than happy with the final result.
Lastly working on the wyrdstone gave me a massive headache - I think I painted 3 to 4 version until I somewhat got the crystal material right.
In general I tried alot of different things for the materials.
As for the photos, I tried two different backgrounds as the black one makes the colours almost too vibrant, but looks awesome ^^ and the grey one is more true to the colours.
The miniature is by Heresy Labs.
As for the story:
Gehrman is an older noble, without any heirs and driven by fear of insignificance. Thus he took signs and portents as a messange from the Lady of the Lake to set out towards the east - towards Mordheim in search of a great evil that has befallen the lands. Arriving in the cursed city, he has found a bounty of evils, lesser and greater, to which is only answer is the mighty axe in his hands.
