Medusa

Medusa - just the name evokes mixed feelings of pity and horror for this tragic mythological figure. I always found her fascinating in part because, of the many ill-used characters in Greek mythology, her story stood out for sheer scale of the injustice. I think the sculpt does a great job of balancing the woman she had been with the monster she became and I had a lot of fun painting it.

Sorry about there not being a "before" photo. Didn't read the fine print on this before I started painting.
