ZORN
I entered into the White Moth Studios Zorn contest and had to paint this whole mini using only the Zorn pallette. That pallete is only four colors, Red, Black, White, and Yellow. This was stressful since I don't use a wet pallete for painting and had to hurry as I was mixing and matching colors.
No washes were allowed unless you made em yourself, and I ended up making some for the cloth on the model. This contest forced me to purposely edge highlight, lay in shadows, do some sort of NMM (not really but I see the idea now), work more Eavy Metal style highlights, rely on layering, blending, and dry brushing over universal washes.
I know it's not as thin as I would like, nor what I would normally do, but I'm happy with how it turned out and how it pushed me to figure out ways around the restrictions. Would do another one for sure.
