Start of a Frostgrave scenery piece
Hey, I started a new scenery piece this weekend which I've had in my head for a while - a bell tower as a centrepiece objective for the Summoning Bell scenario in Frostgrave The situation is that the constant ringing of the bell is attracting all sorts of monsters, so the players' objective, on top of grabbing treasure and trying to stop each other, is to silence the bell and slow down the tide of monsters. It's super chaotic and one of my favourite scenarios in the game, but we don't have a bell tower at the club, so we've had to improvise, which was bugging me. So I wanted to build something eye-catching and a bit weird-looking for my games. I've built the main structure from foam board and used cast resin stairs and ruined walls from Fenris Games, coating the walls with air dry clay and texturing the stonework with a terrain roller. The stone hands are cast resin pieces from Bad Squiddo, and the bell is from an Etsy seller. The wooden stairs are an MDF kit from Blotz. Once the clay is totally dry, I'll take it out to spray prime, and then I can get painting maybe next weekend!
