This is a handy tool for roughly predicting the behavior of how pigments will mix (definitely more predictable with single pigment paints). The basic gist is you can draw a line between any 2 pigments and the resulting mixed colors will land more or less on that line depending on the ratio of the mix. It’s not perfect but it’s fairly accurate. It’s also fairly accurate for predicting a gamut of mixable colors from 3 starting pigments. In this case you draw a triangle from your three pigments and the possible mixes more or less sit within the triangle. Again it’s not perfect but it’s a decent rough guide.
