After a week of delay, I'm back with another Black Coach rescue update! Currently I've got a base coat on almost everything and I've been pushing to complete the sarcophagus so I can glue it into the carriage. Feels a bit odd to be putting this much detail into a piece that is going to be mostly enclosed, but it's good practice. I managed to smooth over the messy green stuff with some sprue goo. First time using sprue goo and it was fantastic! Really glad to add that to my toolkit. Still needs quite a bit of work, but it's getting closer to being finished! Current status of my rescue Black Coach. I've got everything primed, the replacement wheel has been printed, and I've got started with painting the vampire and coffin! The wheel printed rather well, but my green stuff sculpting was a bit lacking as you can see (Picture 2). Any suggestions on how I could smooth it out and make it seem more like the others? I wouldn't mind priming it again. Previous Update: thebaselair.com/posts/w60vtynuwg

Operation: Black Coach Rescue (Update 1)

I have successfully stripped of the majority of the paint on my rescue Black Coach! Afterwards, I spent quite a bit of time cleaning off the remaining mold lines, gap filling, gluing some damaged pieces, 3d printing out an appropriate sized base (and sanding that), and finally sculpting a replacement wheel in Blender. (Picture 2) While the 3d model of the wheel isn't an exact match, I'm hoping that some green stuff sculpting might help disguise it once I've got it printed. Wish me luck! I am working on rescuing a Nighthaunt Black Coach that I got used ($10!!!!) . It was covered in thick primer, sprue clippings, and mold lines. Unfortunately one of the coach's front wheels and the base are missing so I'm going to have to figure that out soon. The photo above is where I'm currently at after a bath in isopropyl and some diligent mold line removing. Some of the primer is very thick, so it might need multiple soaks. I'm liking the posts feature!
