Mo Hawkins a.k.a. Gotrek Gurnisson

Taking inspiration from Frank Frazetta, I tried to keep the base desaturated to keep the focus on the figure. I also used a lot of opposite(ish) colors in shadows taking a cue from Impressionism. There’s blue shadows in his hair, blue-green in his skin and reddish tones in his green pants. It’s a fairly limited palette overall and there’s a bit of raw umber on most of the figure (especially the lower half) to tie it to the base which uses a lot of raw umber throughout. Finished December 2023.
