TLDR: if you love what you’re painting it will be apparent to others. Keep painting what you love and what brings you joy.
So this model has caused me a lot of mental turmoil and severe impostor syndrome. I spent maybe. 4 hours max on it. And submitted it as a teehee to Golden Demon at Adepticon 2026. I was leaving a class with some friends and I wanted to take a look at my model. As I went to look for it, it was being brought out from judging, along side a Notable pin.
I struggled a lot with a pin for something I was unserious about and some friends walked away with nothing. But comparison is the thief of joy. I love painting weird little creatures like this and it really shows in my paint job. And many of my friends pointed out that the judges probably noticed that.
Literally the best token I've ever seen. I can see why the judges noticed though, you've rendered it so characterfully.
