I'm pausing my work on repairing older minis to start painting something for the "Full Metal" contest that just started. I love true metallic metal paint, so I was pretty excited to see that it was the theme! I'm really looking forward to seeing what y'all submit!

I finally found a great varnish that protects my minis from the normal wear-and-tear of tabletop play. For the next couple of weeks or so, I'll be repairing and re-varnishing a bunch of minis that I've already posted (new pics?) So in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to post some of my older projects from a different game, the one that I felt strong enough about that I dipped my toes into this hobby and have loved it ever since. I hope you enjoy my upcoming projects, which will take us through my first experiences in mini painting!

These little empty shapes on the backpack things these bears are wearing were begging for dials and guages, so I painted some! These are probably the smallest details I've ever tried besides eyes. These are 35mm bases, penny for scale.
