Oh it'll be a straightforward piece I said. Painting it like ice I said. Give it an ice base too I said.
But then it didn't look right. It just felt... flat.
Stumbled onto a picture a few days later of light hitting ice, and inspiration struck. That was what was missing. The SHINE of the sun.
So I did a little bit. Then a bit more..
THEN THE FULL CONCENTRATED POWER OF THE SUN. Astarion would be displeased with this piece.
