Caught Between Life and Death
I wanted to capture the rotting beauty of death, how it can be painful yet peaceful. That all things pass on and have a second life, giving back to the earth. I really loved how the foggy eyes convey the emotion of a ghost: something might still be there but is slowly fading. I have painted this elk from Witchsong Miniature (Arsen, Horns of Hell).
