Gandalf and Pippin Warn Minas Tirith

This is Gandalf the White and Peregrin Took, riding through Minas Tirith to warn Denethor of Sauron's impending attack. The diorama includes moss and grass overgrowing the walls, and water effects to show the speed of Shadowfax's pace.

The miniatures are Games Workshop miniatures from the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game, and the plinth is hand made. The facade is all plasticard that was cut and glued to create the appearance of the warn and overgrown city streets of Minas Tirith, and the plinth is made of Spalted Tamarind, which is a white tree that is scarred from rot and bugs. This represents the status of Minas Tirith--the city of the White Tree, which is dying and under siege from the inside.
