Painting fantasy miniatures and sometimes canvas. Not always Warhammer. California boy in Munich. I bought the 1st edition of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay rulebook as a kid in the late 80s/early 90s and fell in love with the painted miniatures in the book by artists like Mike McVey. I GM'd the Shadows Over Bögenhafen campaign from the book with some of the neighborhood kids and that's the extent of my gaming career. I painted minis for a couple years as a kid and returned to the hobby in mid 2022. As a non-gamer, I just paint minis that look fun to paint. Usually fantasy stuff. Somehow it's often Warhammer because I like a lot of their sculpts (and I like getting the free mini of the month). I'm a color nerd and a fan of Impressionism and I try to bring these things to my minis (and canvas). I'm often chasing after chromatic variation (especially in metals), visual texture and color harmony.
