First Grots in the bag!

Enjoyed painting my first Warhammer anything! Grots for my Ork army. Can’t wait to keep pumping them out.

Well, results for the next tier (1k pts) are in. I started off pretty good in tier one, but hit a major slump in this tier. As expected, I completely fell off the board. They only post the top 5 per Race/Faction and top 10 overall. So there may be a chance I’m still in the running for “Top Aeldari Player” but I’m not sure. (Especially if my slump continues) I do still think I’m in the runnings for “Top Painted”, as so far, there is only one other painted army in the entire league. I played against them this tier (Necrons) and they look good! I think maybe my general style, basing, and use of bold colors is going to be to my advantage. We’ve now started Tier 3, which is 1250 pts. I’m well ahead of schedule, painting wise, as I’m currently sitting on 1750 pts worth of painted Aeldari.

First project I've ever felt proud of 🙂

I have a proud moment! I did a thing! I'm so excited about this 😁 For context, I have ASD, mild Dyspraxia, PTSD and Imposter Syndrome (something I didn't believe in until my therapist explained that I struggle with it). I've never been able to feel a sense of accomplishment and I have often looked at my creative projects as complete rubbish. But I'm determined to break that thinking. A week ago, this was three sprues of unassembled model. All grey plastic and a flat, black base. Today I sat down to paint it. Every bit of paint, every speck of rust, every mound of mud. Base coat, shade and wash. I did this 😁 Introducing my Ultramarine successor chapter: Verdant Sentinels. I taught myself how to do drybrushing, brush care, proper techniques. I'm actually proud of myself for something I have done 🙂
